One of the most important issues of eChat support is the response time. The only way to keep response time to a minimum is by not having, for example 1 dedicated operator handle the traffic on your site alone. If that is the case, you will have exactly what you don't want, longer waiting times for responses. The need to share the work load is substantial or otherwise in peak times you have a very negative effect. If your business has the effective size and work load, than naturally the operator has only time for your site, but he needs another operator to cover peak times.
In those kinds of situations we work closely with you to find the most cost effective adjustment for you. We use an increment system. The workload has to be consistently above benchmarks to trigger an account upgrade.

Dedicated or Shared is therefore really not the issue. The question is always overall load and response time.
An operator is always learning, when he is not busy with your site. He is either learning your site or another site, so he can share (and vice versa) the workload at peak times to keep the waiting times to an absolute minimum.
We really don't like seeing waiting times exceeding 1 minute on busy sites, nor would you.
A 24/7 contract means therefore, that it creates a Manpower work load of 24 Manpower hours 7 days a week. We have created a table which shows the comparison to COMPETITION pricing, you can find on the internet. We sincerely believe that we have the most flexible and customer friendly pricing set up. Until you reach the level of a Full service workload you are always shared. Once you have a full service work load your web site will still need the help of other operators to cover peak situations. Unless your are willing to sacrifice RESPONSE TIMES. By being clear about this important issue, you understand that there is always some form of shared operator situation.
